What bonus is there for assended players? Isnt there supposed to be more exciting options? i havent found anything.

Well for one... I think theres 50k exp you gain when you ascend, which is like quite a bit of exp to get.

Don't forget the post titan quests give by glint's image in Draknor's for 20k xp quests (x4) and Chapter 2 coming out next year is dependent on being ascended (to get access to the new content).

yeah but the titans are for game finishers only and chapter 2 is for everyone

i don't think there are any ascended only things in the update, though i think anet were saying that GF and SF were the ascended only areas as it mainly accessable when you ascend

You for sure can do one prior to being assended, and although I have never tried with out being assended I am pretty sure you can do the second one prior to as well. You would just have had to have your Char run up to Droks from Beacons to get it.

To add to the list I do not believe you can get in to War Camp or SF without being assended.

Yeah, cant do Vanyi's quests because one of the ones leading to her 15 attribte point quest requires that you do a path quest in the desert, you don't get those till after ascension.

What you can do without having ascended:
1. the Forgotten Wisdom quest (15 attribute points quest in the Crystal Desert)
2. get to Grenth's Footprint, Deldrimor War Camp, Sorrow's Furnace

What you cannot do:
1. the Hero's Challenge quest (15 attribute points quest from Droknar's Forge)

I tried all this with my Necro about 3 hours ago.

In terms of NEW trials for the ascended, it has to be Glint's Titan quests. Everyone in the ring of fire is ascended - you have to take into account that ANet built this game so that you needed to follow the storyline to get there instead of playing THeads Keep at lvl 12 -.-

Are you sure everyone in the Ring of Fire is ascended? Although I haven't tested yet, but I suppose anyone being run from Beacon's Perch to Draknor's could finish Thunderhead Keep mission in a group and get to Ring of Fire without being ascended.
